This COVID-19 pandemic has kicked everyone in the ass... but it is time to come back out and get use to our new immune systems! We have added aircraft tail-wheel endorsement training just as soon as I receive my CFI !
At a business meeting on an international scale, a new friend, one of the largest of aviation industry icons, talked with me during a break. He was intrigued with my accident investigation background and vitality for aviation safety. He agreed with me on the subject we were there to discuss in the meeting but we couldn't seem to get everyone on the same page. Tom said, "Ben, remember it's all about relationships". That left a lasting impression on my philosophy of trying to prevent aircraft accidents and find quality aircraft mechanics.
As an FAA Inspector, I was invited as guest speaker to many public engagements. One of the authors of "Cashing the Prevention Check", Mr. Beeler Gausz, attended several of the meetings and was impressed with my delivery and background. Beeler provided guidance and inspiration to adapt the spirit of Prevention Management to my aviation accident prevention goals. Beeler and his lead partner, Larry McFadin, have permitted access to their intellectual property for teaching the prevention management skills they have honed since their departure from the Philip Crosby "Quality College".
Why start with Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic preparatory training? Becoming a certificated aircraft mechanic is one of the most difficult and challenging ratings of all the Federal Aviation Administration feats. It requires integrity, honesty, trust, determination, high quality standards and skill. Through this spirit, Melody (my exceptional wife) and I decided to continue the very successful practice of aircraft maintenance preporatory training from professional friends Elena and Mike Klasing. They decided to relocate to Montana and the call of the wild (or peaceful desolation). We have established our business in Lakeland, Florida, at our home airport of Green Swamp Aerodrome, a private grass airstrip. We are located near Winter Haven with an FAA DME, Steve Alcorn, to offer our clients a convienent option for their certification needs.
Our Prevention Management training is just around the corner and we look forward to bringing that training to the market. In the meantime, we are like no other training in the industry. We will help you through the certification process at your speed, not ours.
